I’m a Los Angeles newborn, baby, and family photographer with over a decade of experience creating light-filled, connection-focused portraits. Whether we’re in my Burbank studio or your home, my goal is to make the experience feel relaxed, natural, and beautifully true to your family.

After photographing parents and newborns for over a decade all over Los Angeles, I’ve done many newborn sessions both in-home and in my studio. Neither is right or wrong, but they are different, and below are some of the reasons to consider which one is right for you!
Whether we are in studio or in-home, my style is the same. I capture both the candid and naturally posed moments of those early days between parents and their newborn baby.

My beautiful and cozy studio is located in Burbank, CA. It’s perfect for welcoming newborn babies and families. And yes, pets are welcome too!
One of the most important factors in any type of portrait is the quality of light. My studio has stunning, soft, natural light that highlights baby skin tones and flatters mom and dad.
Leave the chaos of the house just as it is. Your focus has been on baby and postpartum, not tidying the house.
The studio has everything you need and is designed to be a calm space that makes you feel at ease the moment you walk in. The studio has a changing table, bathroom, extra wipes, a fridge, snacks, and a comfy couch to rest your eyes on while I’m shooting solos of baby.
The neutral background of the studio allows us to focus on the connection between you and your baby, as well as highlight all the tiny details.
Your images will feel very cohesive and consistent, as I incorporate the studio light, textures, and furniture I’ve sourced specifically for the studio and newborn sessions.
This also creates beautiful consistency in your baby’s Heirloom Album or Custom Framed Artwork in your home.

Your home has a lot of windows and feels bright and light-filled with all the artificial lights off.
Overhead lights or lamps create uneven shadows and yellow hues that we want to avoid in portraits.
In-home, we’ll shoot wherever the light is best, and I’ll supplement with my own professional light if there’s a space you really want to shoot in that doesn’t get good natural light.
With an in-home newborn session, the backdrop is your home!
Your furniture, your artwork, and your colors all become part of the session, so more of your personal style will come through.
I’ll look through your home on arrival and find interesting pockets of light or details that will photograph well.
Perhaps you spent a lot of time designing a nursery and want that captured as part of your newborn session!
We’ll capture baby and all the details in their special room.

Choosing between a studio or in-home newborn session ultimately comes down to your style and what you value most.
And either way, your baby’s first days or weeks will be preserved beautifully and forever.
If you’re expecting and trying to decide which type of newborn session feels right for your family, I’d love to help you plan an experience that feels natural, comfortable, and true to you.
